I need an application designed for the iPhone for displaying flash cards for the user. The requirements are listed below.
I will need help loading it onto the appstore and ensuring it works.
Flash Card Requirements
There are two options to flash cards. [Q- Question, A - Answer]
Option A: One is Q and A. Tap for Q and tap for A. Maybe have a hint button.
Option B: The other option is multiple choice. Pick the right choice. The system can also keep score.
Raises questions if the person exits - will we save the score to let them continue
We will take on with option A. It is easier to implement and probably easier to get content.
Must get display data from an external XML file that will be packaged with the software when loaded to the store.
Flash Card must be able to show text and images
Start application
(first time)List of Decks - built from the deck names in the xml file below
Choose deck and it displays the first card question
Butoon to Return to last card question
(see navigation)
Help (single page with instructions returns to calling screen when user presses OK)
Navigation
Auto bookmark - application returns to where the user last left.
Tap to move from Card Q to Card Q + A [in other words question displays on screen. when user taps question and answer display]
Tap again to move the next Card Q
No way of backing up [we do not need this capability]
Hint button displays for a card if there is a hint available
Tap at the bottom to get menu
Left button - returm to List of Decks
Right button - Help screen
Other functions
Pinch and un-pinch to change font size
When screen is flipped, change to landscape.
The List of Decks is built from the Decks
Out of scope
Other options for Flash Card Reader
Option B multiple choice and keep score
This will likely be version 2.
Sample look and feel
http://itimesheet.free.fr/itimesheet.php very nice color.
Match apple colors and look and feel where possible.
Will review look and feel and finalize before moving forward.
Here are some applications that I have found. I am showing these because they have some good things we can draw from them.
