I am now stuck at a point I can't move forward in my iPhone game. I'm sending you the complete project files in hopes that you can take a look. I'd like this to have a higher priority. Because I'm hoping this will only take a short time for you to figure out and because I feel like I can't progress with my own work until this problem is resolved.
The problem is that the game crashes and gives me an error of:
EXC_BAD_ACCESS
This happens in a couple of different places. In the source code, I have put in some specific comments to where I have narrowed down when this happens.
You will see my detailed notes on the problem. To reproduce this crash when you are playing the game...
1. Start a new game (or load an existing) and make sure you are in the grid where the game first starts up, with the castle in it.
2. Go one screen to the west, where the other buildings are and make sure you are lined up with the white building, the weapon shop.
3. Go back to the grid with the castle, keeping yourself lined up with the weapon shop.
4. Hold down the left (west) arrow key so that you leave the castle grid, go into the next grid and then walk into the weapon shop.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 if it didn't crash the first time. Eventually it will.
I'm wondering if you will be able to look at the specific notes with the tag and then also if you would be able to run a high level memory analysis of the application. The game has crashed at other points besides just where I have it narrowed down in the comments. So, this is a bigger issue than just the couple spots I have narrowed it down to. I'm not familiar with how to use the "leaks" run time options.
If you can spend a day or two on this for me, that would be very appreciated. I will pay for this.
So, I need to know one way or the other if you would be able to do this and if it would be on a quick time frame.
Thanks
