This is to be the definitive site for the Indiana High School Basketball Tournament. I have been working for three years solid to compile data that will be used to build this site, but while I can visualize what I want, I don't have enough technical skill to bring it about. I encourage coders to read the outline of the spec, and decide whether they would like to be a part of this massive undertaking. There will be refinements as we go, but there is simply an enormous amount of data to include on this site, which will eventually be given to the Indiana High School Basketball Hall of Fame.
Essentially, I have the scores, dates, times, locations, team pics, scans of box scores, coach's names, scans of tickets and programs, that will all be viewable and serachable by the user. I want them to be able to research how a particular team did, to see Google maps of the various sub-tournaments, to search on game stats, to see team pics and box scores, to learn school consolidation paths.
This is a large project which will be fairly straightforward to someone who is detail-oriented, very strong in database programming, and who has an eye for good website design (popups, flash, advanced web presentation). I have done a lot of the work, and have set up the system so that it is very possible to code around. But this is not for the faint of heart!
