TallCat has spent the last seven years as one of Arizona's premiere music / video production studios (located in Phoenix).
Some studio pics can be found here:

In mid 2009, after major frustrations with current music services and the music industry as a whole, we decided to develop a web system to make up for all the short comings of current music distribution sites. Before any code was developed for the TallCat system, we spent 2 months interviewing hundreds of bands in Arizona, Chicago, and LA about their experiences with current music sites like itunes, rhapsody, amazon, myspace, etc. Based on the feedback and input we received, TallCat Music Portals was born.
This is obviously a very brief description about what it is we are attempting to do. The system is loaded full of features and some are completely industry unique. The ultimate purpose of the system is to give musicians flexibility with how they sell and distribution music and merchandise along with increasing marketability.
You can see some screen shots here of the system:

The current project is around 85% complete and we are searching for a talented programmer to help finish the remaining 15%.
Here is what we are searching for:
1)A talented PHP programmer that has vast working knowledge of Object Oriented PHP. The entire system is built using OOPHP.
2)JAVA, Flash is a plus.
3)A team player. We are a bunch of success driven, motivated entrepreneurs and are looking for an individual with similar traits. Team chemistry is very important to us. We win as a team, we lose as a team.
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial minded and searching for an opportunity to become a part of something from the ground floor; not just a standard hourly employee. You must be willing to work on a 'project' basis pay, not hourly. The total payment is negotiable. However, because of past experiences, we are searching for an individual that sees the bigger picture and is willing to work for a smaller wage upfront in return for stock ownership of the company. We have had too many programmers request an hourly pay all for them to not follow through completely. In other words, even though we are willing to pay, we want you to feel as if you have something to lose.
Our intention is to begin generating revenue as soon as possible of which could become full time employment for you + stock ownership. In order to achieve this, we must complete the system.
We have no problem if you have employment elsewhere as long as you can commit time to the TallCat project and see it through to completion.
If you have any question, feel free to contact us.
