This is a complex task of using the twitter api to get oauth approval. Current code is at oakme.com/o1.zip and this works for the logon but fails to write and handle cookies. This code is based on standard code from the twitter api site.
You can see an example of the twitter oauth at mytweeple.com working and I need similar functionality in terms of the twitter api usage at my company site called fullbe.com.
It is NOT acceptable to code a BasicAuth solution and expect that to be accepted. It will not be accepted.
The full solution will allow users to do the following:
- logon to twitter from a page at fullbe.com and then Allow the Twitter Interface to be used.
- The user will be redirected to a callback url which reads a cookie set in the application and redirects the user again to the original sending page. Once at that page the user will see his/her twitter logon name, and the option to LOGOUT.
- The overall experience to the user will be one of logging on to twitter from fullbe.com and then posting comments, this is all a standard functionality on the web for the twitter api and used at sites like tweetmeme.com.
Just to confirm the summary:
- application site is fullbe.com
- standard twitter api used for logon via oauth
- cookies and sessions stored as normally used in oauth and used at multiple sites
- code should be based on the existing code (o1.zip) which mainly works but needs correction and was coded from standard code at the twitter api site.
